I really wish I owned it, but thanks to our fabulous library (that is both a city and university library) I checked it out and will start reading it as soon as I get through "In My Fashion" by Bettina Ballard. They tried to make it more entertaining by putting in a time capsule section. I filled out all the "favorites" question, and I stuffed the envelope with magazine clippings of Leonardo DiCaprio, Backstreet Boys (complete with concert ticket stub!), Christina Aguilera and other people I was obsessed with at the time. I sealed it and wrote "I will not open this time capsule until 2009!"<BR/><BR/>For some reason I saved it all these years. I recently found it again and it made me really happy to open it all up. It didn't have much of anything in there but I did find a picture of my 5th grade crush, which made my day. I still see and talk to him every now and again. I need to show him one of these days and asks if he remembers it too. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979421620708398229.post-14057592726377785912009-01-16T09:10:00.000-08:002009-01-16T09:10:00.000-08:00You will always be a classic, daaahhhling! xoYou will always be a classic, daaahhhling! xoAndyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07481871214223679584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979421620708398229.post-84277535751753242532009-01-14T10:39:00.000-08:002009-01-14T10:39:00.000-08:00Another one bites the dust! I traded one copy to a young New York hatmaker in Soho -who made my wedding hat- for a red felt beret with a red felt exclamation point on the top of it! I love that book! I tried to do my own version of a time capsule, which was to imbed a marble in the palm tree in our front yard when I was nine. Stupid boys pried it out before I turned ten.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
