I double dare you!)
PS my girls still love their Easy Bake Oven at 10years old and 14 1/2!!!
Love Laralarajaneparkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09725397270611592958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979421620708398229.post-42334494023067087402008-09-07T11:37:00.000-07:002008-09-07T11:37:00.000-07:00I'm just catching up with you today - and wanted t...I'm just catching up with you today - and wanted to say how much I enjoyed this post, and how lucky your little friend is to have a grownup friend like you. xoLPLynn Perilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07518769077076345584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979421620708398229.post-44606608608994066152008-09-04T08:43:00.000-07:002008-09-04T08:43:00.000-07:00I baked and baked in my Easy Bake Oven until that ...I baked and baked in my Easy Bake Oven until that little light bulb blew right out.

Thanks for bringing back those tasty memories.

I love your point about all the crap you wanted because of the catchy jingles. I couldn't get that Slinky song out of my head, "Slinky, Slinky, a fun and wonderful toy (or something like that)... Slinky, Slinky... fun for a girl and a boy..."

Without the catchy jingles, how else could those toy companies get kids to beg for what is basically coiled wire in a box?

But the Easy Bake Oven, now that was something.

I loved this post!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979421620708398229.post-82151511505510660532008-08-29T19:02:00.000-07:002008-08-29T19:02:00.000-07:00I had a Easy Bake Oven!! I probably chewed lead paint off the door frame of my bedroom too for all I know.
I'm pretty sure the novelty of my Easy Bake Oven wore off after the first blackened chocolate hockey puck it took all afternoon to 'cook'.
I also had a Lite Brite and immediate set about giving myself an awesome shock.
Best of all, my sister and I had the holy grail of dangerous toys - the original Klick Klacks! Remember those? No? They were two roughly 3" translucent acrylic balls connected to a ring by two strings. I had the blue sparkly ones and my sister had the red sparklies. They tended to shatter on impact, sending potentially blinding shards of sparkly acrylic flying in a million directions. For obvious reasons, they were recalled.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979421620708398229.post-79404312951265801632008-08-27T04:15:00.000-07:002008-08-27T04:15:00.000-07:00we ddint have a lite brite either but we did get s...we ddint have a lite brite either but we did get simon, but I liked Merlin Better!( i really wanted 2xl)Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16500099075947499387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979421620708398229.post-67167548882163031142008-08-27T04:14:00.000-07:002008-08-27T04:14:00.000-07:00coool I always wanted one and Never got one one so...coool I always wanted one and Never got one one somehwere way back on my blog the Neighbor threw out one by another company, Suzy homaker I think, I have not tried it yet but I still have the own waiting in the basement!!!!Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16500099075947499387noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979421620708398229.post-63710401139390282142008-08-26T16:46:00.000-07:002008-08-26T16:46:00.000-07:00I was never allowed a Lite Brite or an Easy Bake. ...I was never allowed a Lite Brite or an Easy Bake.
